I'M NIGERIAN

Once I used to be indifferent about the state of the things in the country
Once I used to think that just my family and few close friends mattered
Once I neglected to vote.........Just cause I felt that My vote didn't count
Once I felt the government was far away from me and so long as I had breath in my nostrils, I will fight for survival.

Now I know BETTER!

Nigeria is mine and I must fight for not just my family and few friends, but for the thousands of lives that die daily due to

Poverty
Unemployment
Disease.......etc

I'm deeply pained at the way things have gone from bad to worse.
Maybe am affected now because am an adult and I fend for myself.
I feel the pain most parents go through when they can't provide for their families.

Now what's my pain?

When I heard of the protest/march, I was happy. I longed for the day to come so I could equally express my self via any means comfortable. I was grateful for the platform made available by Tuface.

On hearing that who made the platform available and was willing to lend his voice had called off the protest, I was pained again. But yet again, I realized the march was not all about Tuface. He was kind enough to use his fame to create a platform for Nigerians to be heard.

Still Nigerians being dogged and determined  went on with the protest of which I'm immensely grateful to those that came out irrespective of their busy schedule.

I'm Nigerian, therefore am entitled to the basic amenities of life. I need food, I need electricity, shelter, education, health facilities and most importantly security. Not to forget, I need to be able to afford things I need/want.

I hear news of embezzlement and the sums are so huge that I realized over time that my Nigeria is RICH.
My Government should rise up to their responsibilities! Enough of the stories of "Nigeria will be better". Hear our voices and swing to action.
