Ready For The Next Destination?

Image
2017 was quite an epic year! It was what I termed a glorious destination with a rough start.  Quite a number of achievements was made and so many struggles were overcome.  The next big question is....... Are you ready for the next destination? The next destination is 2018 which is about few hours from now.  How ready are you to embark on this journey? I see entering into a new year as embarking on a voyage. You don't necessarily know the very exact destination but you plan for an amazing sail by getting fully prepared for the ''Journey''.  Life itself is a journey, where the end we don't have a vivid idea as to what it holds. The sincere truth being that you can actually get to determine where you get to and this depends on what you carry along with you.    So the question now is, what are you carrying with you? You are in charge of the vehicle and you decide who you let into the car.  I really don't have much to say but I sincerely wo

MERRY CHRISTMAS.....

It's Christmas again and I'm so excited. There isn't any celebration that I love the way I love Christmas.  Waking up early and thinking of how busy the day is going to be, then again I remembered that I have a family to wish a VERY Merry Christmas.  On that Note I wish you all  a wonderful celebration and an amazing time with your loved ones. WORD FOR TODAY!

Stop thinking and start doing! You only allow fear, doubt and indecision to creep in when you continiously think about what ever you want to embark on. I woke up this morning, and the first question I asked myself was "What's the  next chapter? The question made my eyes flip open and I searched for answers on my vision book. You are about facing the next chapter and you got to be ready, but one thing you have to understand is that nobody is ever fully prepared.  Each step unfolds gradually as you work on your plan. So you have to stop giving it so much thought and start already. The so much thinking, strategising and re-strategising leaves you at one point.....your comfort zone. Ironically you think you have to be fully prepared but no, all you need is an idea and a detailed action plan. Its may not actually go as you planned, but you learn all the way and get better everyday. Dont forget, we become better at  what we do everyday. Choose wisely and become who yo

ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO....

How does 2018 look in your mind's eye? As Earl Nightingale said, we become what we think about. Before the whole goal planning for the new year, it's important that you think what you plan. You can't plan A and your thoughts say B, you'll definitely have B as your reality. Now let's make 2018 great with the following steps. Start by feeding your thoughts it's actual reality . You want a year full of impact, think it. Those words ''If you can think it, you can do it'', is actually true. Make it your reality by aiding your goals through positive thoughts. Change those habits that ain't yielding positive results . Adopt a new positive habit one at a time. Make a conscious effort at changing those bad habits (You don't need to be told this). Always remember that good habits are difficult to form but easy to live with while bad habits are the opposite. For example, waking up early is difficult but it'

2018.......................90% Wow, 2017 did pass so fast. So many memories. I think I started off the year really bad (how many can relate to this?). I wrote off 2017 so fast and never expected anything good from the year but as they say "you can never tell when it happens" If I have learnt one thing in 2017, it's to be positive and always stay hungry . After all. 2017 is ending so good and I couldn't be less thankful. In as much as 2017 has taught me a lot, It also gave me a clearer picture as to what life as an independent adult looks like. Most of all I'm grateful I survived and I'll continue to do so. Life does offer us lemons you know. Some times we are faced with so bitter an experience that the only option we see is to give up (I can't count how many times I wanted to pack my things and move back to my parent's place), but we push through and refuse to be termed average. This is actually the first time I'm excited

CLUELESS...

We stand together, striving to achieve one goal called survival. Suddenly we realize we move just in the opposite direction of our acclaimed missions. The creator's creation chooses the mundane over  the valid statements proved in  parchments written by men unknown. What did we  pledge to believe? Who orchestrated the standard of belief and made strong the assumptions of men. Who could have borne the responsibility of the  questions that surround  the imperfections we see or the absurdity that has swallowed the said reality of mortals. Its all patterned in a wave of unknown mysteries. The dry mass of hardened human matter which seemed to be the only source of connection to many questions unanswered lies buried deep on a surface sparsely scattered with dirt. We plead with a community of the down trodden, seeking freedom from abused human behavior, legacies,  tradition and ways which proved to be non adaptive. Who would plead our case and fight the course of men who had

LETTER TO AREWA

Image
Dear Arewa It's been months since death took you away. I lost my entire world the day I lost you. I remember the way you smile and close your eyes to fight tears cause you laughed deeply from your heart.  Arewa, It's been cold since you left, the world has lost it's color and I can only wish to join you. I watched you every evening when you returned from work. Your face bore the perfect charm even in your tiredness.  For every time I waved at you, Arewa you waved back with a smile so perfect like that of an angel. I always planned for the day I would talk to you. I imagined you thought me to be a dumb, but my guts always failed me each time I ever wanted to try.  I wrote you a note but each time I gave myself one excuse or the other not to give it to you. I felt you were just too perfect for any human not to talk of me.  My thoughts were true after all. I waited on that Thursday evening for you to pass. I had made up my mind to tell you how I felt. Taking your
