INTRODUCING: "BEING SINGLE"

Relationship is one topic that would never seize being on the lips of everyone. We literally live and breathe different types of relationships, however for the ‘’Being Single’’ series, we are concentrating on the man and woman love relationship.

When it comes to the singles, you almost hear many say ‘’It’s OK to be single’’. As much as this sounds very comforting, how easy is it really to be single and truly ‘’OK’’. There are really so many challenges that we bottle up because no one wants to be judged or seen as weak 

The holy book quoted that God said during creation that it’s not good for Man to be alone and He made him a help mate. Therefore, its not good that either man or woman be alone. Now the puzzle is how OK is it for anyone to be ALONE.

‘’Being Single’’ series was born out of my passion to tell my story and really tell it all so I can impact others through my experiences. I profiled my story first and I felt ready to start (as I've been working on this series for a while now), but during my research I came across individuals that had unique stories to tell as well. I felt strongly that their stories should be shared along sides mine.  That’s how this project became even bigger and better.

This project profiles the relationship journey of seven amazing lives from the very BEGINNING. We tell it all and share our struggles, victories, pain, growth and contentment that comes with ‘’Being Single’’. Every Ex had a story it left us to tell and lessons they  taught us. We had scars that each relationship left us with, while we were blessed with some. We sang victoriously in some relationship and for some we bowed our heads to conceal the tears that rolled down our faces. In pain we got strength and grew. We may have different views and that spells diversity for us.  

The past has introduced us to a new dawn, now we are on a journey to find ‘’The ONE’’. How easy or difficult would this journey be? We will carry you along every step of the way.

The War Within

The brown rusty leaves rolled over her legs as she sat helpless on the grass. The park was sparsely populated which made it very easy to stay unnoticed. Lifting her head, struggling to see through the heavy clog of tears welling up in her eyes. The day was getting dark, darkness has become her place of solace. THE UNKNOWN CALL

I twisted to critically appraise my curves in the tall glass one last time. I had not watched television or gone on a proper date for over three months, not since work had become so demanding. Part of me still aggrandized the image of lying in bed, snacking on a good pan pizza and finally sleeping off on some random Netflix movies. I twitched the pleat on the skirt and adjusted the waist line. Needless to say, I looked good and the mental picture stuck. The buzzing of my phone interrupted my thoughts.
