CRISIS.....................From the past

They had lunch and after a wonderful time she felt terrible.

''Eric, I never do things like this''

She threw her long black hair over her shoulder and rolled up her sleeves.

''You are such a horrible influence and I wouldn't want you around me.

He smiled and gave her a pat on her shoulder. He invited her for dinner on Saturday but she declined and turned down his next four invitations to lunch or dinner. He obviously looked so unhappy and decided to try again. She finally agreed and went for dinner on Friday night with him.

''Why do you keep a distance between us''? He asked so sincerely unhappy about it. He was so in love with her and he desperately wanted to get close to her. 

''I'm not sure it's such a good idea.

''It could make things complicated for me at work, Eric'' 

She smiled at him as attracted to him as she was, she was afraid of commitment. 

''I guess you would have to make up your mind soon enough cause am traveling out by month end''

''Why, anything the matter or just for pleasure'' She asked with a mixture of concern and mischievousness.

''No big deal, just going for a course, will you see me more often before I travel''

She knew it was not a good idea. Her life was much easier living as a celibate. Celibacy has become a huge part of her life and she didn't want to risk telling anyone about her past.

''Magret''? She seemed lost.

He was breath taking as he smiled down at her changing the car gear. He was young and she could see honesty in him but it was too risky.

''I want to be with you. I'm crazy about you Meg''! He had tears in his eyes and he sincerely longed for her.

'Eric you hardly know me ...............I could be just anyone with some sort of history.

''We all have our past dear and that's why its called past.......to remain behind us''. He slid his hand into hers and kissed her.

They got to her apartment and after a moment's hesitation she finally invited him in. The listened to her favorite country music over a bottle of wine and then he stood up at eleven O'clock unwillingly and looked down at her with a mischievous smile

''I'd love to spend the night with you but I guess you ain't ready for that now or are you''?

She shook her head ,so unsure if she would ever be. So many people had tried in the past to get close to her but she was not even remotely tempted.

''Are you involved with anyone''? He asked.

''No, I'm not............have not been in a long while.

''Any particular reason?''

''Not really''

He sat down on the couch and looked at her intently, hoping to find answers in her eyes.

''Why don't you try me?''

She shrugged, got off the couch and dropped her wine glass on the wooden stool. She didn't owe anybody any explanation. She was a different person now and no one needed to know about her or her past. Her past was better off a secret and she could never trust anyone enough to share. 

I'm sorry Eric,...........I can't.......maybe I won't

''Why not? He responded and reached out took her hands into his ''don't you trust me.

''It's not the trust issue '' She felt her eyes fill with tears and she hated it.

''I don't want to talk about it........really I don't.

She stepped away from him and her long legs were so obvious.

''Meg hun.............'' He  walked up to her from behind and put his arms around her. 

''Why don't you allow me love you.

Her voice was weak as she spoke to him and she could feel him hard behind her.

''Life has been unfair , Eric''

''I'll make you forget all of it, He said as he gently scooped her breasts into his hands. He was so gentle and soothing as he pulled her dress. 

His voice was husky as he whispered into her ears......''life can be so easy if you let it be. I'm in love with you and ...........scrap that, I'm crazy about you and I want to make your life a happy one.

''It's not so easy she said and groaned as she got more excited. I don't think you will ever understand the kind of life I have led and I don't even think I can explain. 

''Then let go....Isn't that possible''.

''Maybe''  She was not sure if it could ever be possible and she was not willing to try. 

He reached out and kissed her passionately. He had wanted her for months, since the first day he set his eyes on her. He made love to her but she lay distant and cold which frightened him.

Some of the things he did to her were the things .......................Ben had done ......and the memory was not pleasant. It didn't take him long before he realized she didn't want to go on.

He pulled away still full of desire for her and he couldn't understand why she was so cold.

''What's the matter Sweet!.......His voice was deep and his eyes bleary with unspent passion.

''I really want you badly.

He put his hands over her breast and gently rubbed it. 

I'm sorry she whispered and turned over to the other side.

Maybe she could overcome the past. There were too many people that hurt her and she carried so much hatred inside her. He really wanted to know more about her but she was not letting him in.

''Why don't you tell me all of the things that bother you''

''..............I was raped a long time ago........, she didn't want to continue or say more.

''How?...........by whom? He got more interested and desperately wanted her to say more but she looked distance and her eyes were cold. 

''Meg talk to me, who raped you?

''Did you report to anyone?'' He asked with so much concern in his eyes.

''Hey Mr, I ain't ready for your questions''

She stood up and he got a better view of her figure. She was elegant and had the best curves  he had ever seen. She took the sheets and wrapped around herself and went into the bathroom. He stayed up all night wandering how he could help her.
