CRISIS............................From the past.
EPISODE 1
............................She stood tall and elegant infront of the mirror, tilting sideways to get a better view of her back side. she was not impressed with what she saw but she was late for work. She gently took her hand bag and slide her phone into the side opening. Rushing outside, she quickly stopped a taxi. She had forgotten to take one last look at her room, otherwise she would have remembered she had left the case file on the side mirror stool.
She got to the office few minutes late and that was unlike her. She was very good at keeping to time. He was there at the reception patiently waiting for her. She walked pass him and handed her handbag to her secretary.
''Remind the mechanic to pick my car from the house and email the rest of the staff for the meeting. she stepped into her office amidst the secretary's persistent reminder that someone was waiting for her. She sat down with her jaw buried in her palms and soon she was lost in thought.
......................................................................................................
The day after she was thrown out of the house and Paul told her he didn't want to have anything to do with her. It seemed as though her dreams were shattered and the whole world unleashed it's venom on her. She began her second job two weeks later with no zeal for life, her chest ached with pain and her eyes were filled with sadness and agony. She knew one day would come when she would revenge and it would be a sweet vengance. The only thing that kept her was her determination to survive and the vegance that was heavy on her mind.
She was good at her job and with the days passing by she got very good at everything she did. She finally enrolled into a school and was combining her work and school. She was going to succeed at all cost but there was no one to share in her achievements. She seemed to have no friends at school or at work. She kept aloof and worked hard, staying up most of the times at night to study.
Months later she went to see a doctor. It was so difficult making up her mind but she finally decided to go. The doctor had told her, when she talked to him that she was eight weeks pregnant. She never owned up to the rape. She wanted to keep the baby at first.............but she couldn't. The whole memory came back to her like it had just happened. She remembered that fateful evening, the tears, her screams, the torture that was unending and how agonizing it had all felt. She had been broken and treated with so much disdain that there was nothing left in her. Tears rolled down her face as she left the doctor's office.
She gave the nurse her name and signed a form with her hands shaking. She sat at the waiting room for close to two hours. She had taken the day off from work and she had no morning lectures. The previous night was a long one. She had lain awake wondering what her fate would be if she kept the baby. The baby would be a reminder of the pains she had passed through and she wasn't sure she could take care of a baby right now. She was too broken to care for another soul.
The nurse finally showed up and gave her more forms to fill as she gave her a hard long look like she had committed murder already. She was 22 but the hardship over the years had made her look older than her age. She handed the forms back to the nurse. Her eyes were cold and you could see fear in 'em.
''Are you alright?'' the nurse asked uninterestedly.
''I'm a little tired and sick''
She nodded and walked away telling her to undress.
An hour and half later she was still in the waiting room. She had even thrown up cause she was nervous. The nurse walked in again with the look of disapproval on her face. She looked at the nurse apologetically
''I'm so sorry ma, I was feeling dizzy and nervous.
''It's ok, It's the same feeling you'll have yet you wont close your legs.
Desperation was choking her to death and she felt a huge growth in her throat. She feared she may not survive it. The guilt of killing a baby was already engulfing her
The doctor approached the waiting room already dressed in his theatre cloths with a green net to cover his head and a small mask hanging on his neck. She almost passed out on seeing the doctor.
''Ready? the nurse asked.
''Yes...........her voice was barely audible enough.
She lay flat on the table, and the nurse forced her feet into the stirrups, and secured them with straps so that Magret couldn't move. She felt helpless and a sudden wave of panic.
